Mandy Kirby

Two decades of experience in advisory, research and sustainability brought Mandy to advocate for cultural change in the investment management industry and to develop the ACT Corporate Culture Standard. She believes that for investors to play their role in shaping a more sustainable and equitable society, they must transparently and authentically look at their own organisations, and address inclusion, diversity and equality. She is author of a British Standard on Responsible and Sustainable Investment Management (BSI PAS7341), and part of the BSI’s Strategic Advisory Group for Sustainable Finance.

Formerly Chief Reporting Officer at the UN supported Principles for Responsible Investment, Mandy has advanced investor reporting and disclosure, and encouraged collaboration and coordination with global financial and sustainability reporting and standard setting bodies to drive quality improvements in sustainability information and reporting across the investment industry.

She understands well the policy, corporate and investor perspective, as former Chair of the Shell Sustainability Report Review Panel and a member of the City of London Socioeconomic Diversity Taskforce. Previously, at the Maplecroft consultancy, she advised global blue-chip clients in both developed and emerging markets on issues of risk management and sustainability.
