By advocating, upholding and going beyond governmental Women in Finance Charter guidelines, we have made a number of significant pledge to help more women return to - and remain in - work.

City Hive is a proud signatory of HM Treasury's 'Women in Finance Charter'.

The Women in Finance Charter is a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory firms, like us, to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry.  In signing up to this Charter, firms are pledging to be the best businesses in the sector as regards setting standards for gender balance.

The Charter reflects the government’s aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across organisations within the financial services sector. A balanced workforce is good for business, good for customers, good for profitability and workplace culture, and is increasingly attractive for investors.

City Hive's vision and mission mean all of our work focuses on improving diversity in the Industry, and our Founders are fully accountable for this.  We believe by standing together, shoulder to shoulder with every other corporation signed up to this Charter we will we affect true change.

Although a relatively small organisation, City Hive is proud to declare that 100% of our senior management is female and across the the company we strive to have a diverse Advisory Board. Currently, that composition includes more than 50% women and also reflects the industry, its client base and society at large. 

We are confident that we will meet our Women in Finance Charter targets to maintain over 50% representation of women in senior leadership by end-2021.


Our Promise

City Hive's pledges in relation to the Women in Finance Charter are:

  • To champion, unite and support women, recognising and developing their valuable traits to create a more balanced diverse culture in the City.
  • To collaborate with financial corporations on improving best practice and cultivating a more inclusive working environment.
  • To challenge unconscious biases embedded historically in the mind-set of financial corporations.
  • To cultivate the entire female pipeline from schoolroom to boardroom within the Asset and Investment Management industry.
  • To always keep at least 50% of our Senior Management and Advisory Board female.
  • To work in partnership with the Diversity Project and Investment 2020.
  • To promote HM Treasury’s ‘Women in Finance Charter’.
  • To promote the United Nations ‘Principles of Responsible Investment (UN PRI)’ and ‘Women's Empowerment Principles (UN WEP)’.
  • To persist and to use gender as a gateway for progress on wider diversity issues.
